I'm sure you've noticed recently that the site's been down intermittently. This is primarily due to a sustained Denial of Service attack against the site. This basically means someone's sending a whole lot of junk traffic to the server in an attempt to overwhelm its resources and take the site down.

I've taken some steps to try to mitigate these attacks, but there's rarely a silver bullet approach. I appreciate your patience and understanding as I continue to shore up the site's defenses.

Also, despite claims otherwise the site is NOT going away, and the chat is NOT closing down. We're here for the long haul!
