If we want to be "especially rude" and "personally insulting", we can all do it in a more mature and verbose way. Saying "FUCK" in a place like jackinchat isn't and shouldn't be taken as rude.

I'd venture to say that many of us started using the work fuck at about the same age we started jacking off. Both being fun, brash, and taboo acts. That we really enjoyed. Why shouldn't we still be able to enjoy them? And, isn't this the place for it?

Roger, you make the point. It's the usage that's rude. Not the word fuck. You have a problem with people being rude. The words they use are not the issue. Being rude is just not called for.

I just changed the wording to try to make the sharper point. It really does sound LOTS more objectionable to me with the F word. "Get a clue" may be considered rude, but the F word form is surely worse. It's a matter of civility and courtesy.

And lest we forget what he actually said, here is Mike's original comment. It was about nastiness in personal address on the forum. It was about the way people speak when they simply do not agree with a post. It was not about the simple use of the F word when referring to physical pleasure for example:
