I like jerking with Gun Oil or Eros (I think they are both silicone based) - very smooth.. Never got into vaseline - too sticky!!

For jerking off I find that Johnsons baby oil gel to be just the best for me. Not safe for rubber goods though. Best to use a silicone base lube such as ID.
