I had a similar procedure a couple years ago - it used a laser to open things up. I wasn't eligible for Urolift, which I would have preferred. Anyway, I don't remember the doc telling me to abstain, but I did. It wasn't too much of a problem because I didn't feel well enough for several days anyway.
