That we can weed out the users that have not visited in say, a year? Can the moderators send a message to any user who either has a full PM box, or has not posted anything to the community in that time period to let them know that in 7 days, their account will be terminated; unless they log in and update their profiles?

I am not sure that I understand why you are upset. I could be part of the problem. I come here often and enjoy reading everyone's comments. But I don't post anything unless I believe that I can add to the conversation.

It's not making it better; I would just like to strike up a conversation with someone who is likely to return the favor.

I understand that folks may change email addresses and forget they have profiles here; perhaps causing them to create another profile. I know I am guilty of that on a number of sites I use. I often get emails from websites I used once or twice; but not recently, just checking in with me to see if I may still be interested in using the services of the site. I usually get two or three emails a month like this.

I don't think deleting users would improve the site, but it would be cool if longtime inactive users stopped coming up as random profiles. Is there any way to do that?
