I am on Avodart and it has decreased my cum production. When I have sex I do use Levitra to help maintain my hardness though I don't need it when jacking off. And even though my cum production has decreased, my orgasm intensity hasn't. So I was wondering how many guys on this site have found that the medications affect them in some way in their sexual activity?

Same here, at 70 I take FLOMAX and although my semen volume has decreased, the urge is still here, the sensation at climax is still near the best feeling a man can experience. I jack several times a week, no plans on stopping. A recent experience http://jackinchat.com/viewthread.php?tID=15448#5has me eager for more. JACK ON OLD MEN!!!!!!!!

Blood pressure medications, particularly my diuretic, are a pain in the ass. Have to work much harder to get harder. Jackin' is easier than fucking in that regard. I like the days where I forget my bp meds. Get much better hardons.

I absolutely agree. BP meds take the starch out. Somehow, with good porn, I seem to get plenty hard in spite of the BP meds. Orgasms are better than ever

Glad to see this question posted. I was going to post it myself but you beat me to it. I'm taking 2 meds to reduce my enlarged prostate, Uroxatral (similar to Flomax) and Finasteride. My semen volume has been significantly reduced and I find this a real bummer. This is not a surprising side effect because about 1/3 of semen volume is produced by the prostate. However, reduced semen volume is not a listed side effect of Uroxatral. It is for Finasteride, however.

I have always been an impressive cum shooter and it gave me a great sense of satisfaction to see it and feel it erupting from my penis and flying in all directions and until I started taking these meds, that was a very reliable outcome of my jacking and my wife's hand jobs. Now she asks if I'm done and refers to the result as the "dry heaves". The sensations are still intense but there's that little extra feeling of the cum rising in the tube and bursting out which is absent. I sure hope this isn't a permanent condition. I'd sure love to see the cum fly again.

The other disappointment is that the meds don't work on a consistent basis to relieve the urination problems they're supposed to correct. It's better than it was but far from what I had hoped.

At least everything still works to some extent and there's no cancer to deal with so far.cockfrown

Younger guy here on Wellbutrin and Celexa...that definitely takes some of it out of me. I think antidepressants in general have that effect, but it makes it harder to get hard (no pun intended, because it was so bad) and decreases the load at the end.

Almost any beta blocker (a.k.a. blood pressure medication) interferes with erectile function. Angina-reducing meds such as nitroglycerine, and Viagra may cause a dangerous drop in blood pressure.

I take Efexor (anti-depressant) and it certainly takes the edge off. Harder to get hard and stay hard, harder to cum (sometimes frustratingly difficult), reduced ejaculation, reduced orgasm intensity. I hate the friggen stuff, but I can't just stop taking it. Not to mention it makes me tire more easily, lazy, demotivated and gain weight.

I can confirm your experience with FLOMAX. It does decrease seman. Sex drive is unaffected. I'm off FLOMAX now and back to cumming like I always did.

My ADD med Aderal is a double edge sword. It takes me longer to get erect and it's harder to stay erect. However, I last longer, way longer.

I take a beta blocket ,BP med., and 400 mg of tremsat (pain killer) and I do sometimes take Nitro-spray. The side effect is very very hard to get an erection but my semen flow is still there. I tried Viagra to see if would work and took 2 -20 mg tabs and dam near killed me. So I guess I`ll enjoy the FB`ing and nude beach and JO and not worry about Viagra. Life is too precious.

Effexor, my antidepresant makes it almost impossible to get a hardon, and if I do, impossible to reach a climax. Started on it because I became alarmingly angry and hostile esp to wife, over stuff that shouldnt matter. Wife has her own issues, but I should be able to handle them. Effexor makes it doable. Plus we are both responsible for elderly parents and under a lot of stress.
Levetra works wonderfully, but is too darn expensive.
Talked to Dr, gonna change my antidepressant to Cymbalta and see if sexual side effects are less but work as well as Effexor on my mood.

Urologists say flomax causes retrograde ejaculation.
