Anyone tried the Beta version of IE 7.0 yet? I have it, just haven't felt like loading it on my machine. If it kills my machine, I will be out of production for like 2-3 days here at work.
WTF Do you want now?

I've tried it, but it's not all that great. The tabbed browsing implementation is done weirdly. For some reason the toolbars are under the tabs and each tab has it's own File, Edit etc.

Other than that it's still IE6 SP2

I didn't know there was a beta version out. I like tabbed browsing, so I use Maxthon, but I'll definitely try IE now.

I haven't tried it, granted my main computer is a Mac. I dont use IE anyway on the PC or the Mac. I'm a big fan of Firefox. Perfect implementation of tabbed browsing, and nearly zero security risk unlike IE

Ok i give. Is Firefox that good? Should i switch over? what difference is it really going to be to me? I use Netscape rite now but every one keeps talking about it but from what i have seen at friends houses its just IE except with the little fox sign.

Opera has perfect tabs implementation. Firefox's tabs suck (well they don't SUCK, they are just very basic) unless you install some extensions (which basically mimick Opera).

It's a good browser, but it's slower than IE and doesn't handle graphically intense pages, or pages with alot of Flash well.

The main reason to use it is because it provides much better security against spyware and adware due to it not being nearly as popular as IE. Therefore people who write this stuff don't target Firefox.

If you're using Netscape and happy with it, there's little reason to switch over.

It can't hurt to try it out though. You might find it a little less cluttered and faster loading than Netscape.

I am now using IE 7 beta 1. I have noticed some features that I like, but I have noticed one that I hate.

I am one of those people that hates using stored passwords [remember me, etc., etc.]. Well when I use this board, I login and then begin reading posts. If I want to submit a reply post or a new post, I am told that I need to login again. I login and attempt to submit my post, just to be told that I need to login again.

I just gave up and for this site, I use stored passwords.

Anyone else with similar issues? And yes, I do believe in using the EVIL EMPIRE's software.

For anyone who is curious. Opera is now free like Firefox and IE. It's an excellent browser and worth checking out.

I was just about to post that, Admin. wink

Opera and FF are both good, but I'm more familiar with FF so that's what I'm sticking with.

IE is unsafe, inefficient crap.
