What is it about people in chat rooms? I am on Skype and Wickr and have my address for both published here and a couple of other places. Will have people hail me and start a conversation the just stop. No "brb", "gtg", "TTYL, no nothing just silence. If you are going to contact someone at least have the courtesy to tell them you aren't interested or you have to go, don't leave them just hanging waiting for a response.

Bibritain.co.uk is a good one but as the name implies, it's for the UK only. It has a feature that you can list members who live in the same area, so in that respect, if you maybe looking to meet up with someone, it's very good.
I hadn't planned on meeting anyone when I used it but got chatting to a guy who lives just over a mile from me. We chatted for ages then one thing led to another and now we meet up quite regularly.
