I've never understood why, if orgasms are so fantastic, why aren't women masturbating all the time?

My g/f does it pretty much every day, as do I. And we have a healthy sexual relationship. I love it when we masturbate next to each other in bed, watching each other. It's hard not to go further and just have sex, but sometimes it is hot to watch while being watched.

I would never be presumptuous enough to answer for all woman-kind, so don't take this as gospel or assume these things apply to all women, but here's my 2 cents based on the predilections of myself and my friends.

1.) Most women DO masturbate. A lot. The women that tell you they don't - some are probably lying.
2.) I actually know some women who don't consider it masturbation unless they penetrate themselves. This is the stupidest fucking thing I ever heard but I legitimately have came across about 5 or 6 women who all didn't consider clit rubbing or grinding to be masturbation. So maybe these women who say they don't masturbate aren't lying per say, but just have different definitions than others.
3.) Some women don't like to masturbate at all during menstruation, whether it be the mess or because it's simply uncomfortable for them, so that right there puts us a whole quarter of the month behind men in terms of daily masturbation.
4.) Conversely, though we're typically hornier during PMS, some women also don't like to masturbate while cramping. Though orgasms are known to relieve cramps, its hard to get in the mood if you're doubled over in pain.
5.) It's simply the nature of our society that male sexuality is discussed more freely and blatantly, where as female sexuality - in terms of what we like and what actually gets us off - is not as commonly discussed. I mean think about it, growing up every little boy just KNOWS that jerking off is. Even if you don't hear some reference to it while growing up that will tip you off, the sheer fact that your dicks there swinging in the wind makes it more likely for you to play with it and figure it out on your own. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if there are some men on here who were even TOLD, if not by a parent then by a friend or sibling, that jerking off is what you're SUPPOSED to do. Women on the other hand, not only hear less mention of their form of masturbation in society in general, but they also have the disadvantage of a.) having genitalia that is a little more hidden and a lot more complicated and b.) rarely having a person in their life to tell them what the hell they're supposed to do or how they're supposed to do it.
6.) Because of the reason stated above, there are lot of women growing up never having gotten themselves off, and since they don't know what they like its very hard for them to tell they're partners what they like, and usually that results in bad sex. So, even as an adult, even if the woman knows what's SUPPOSED to get her off, if she goes most of her life without an orgasm she'll just assume she can't have one and won't even bother trying herself. (I am not making that up. One of my closest female friends felt that way. And I quote: "If he can't do it, who's to say I'd be able to?" I kind of wanted to smack the stupid out of her but I refrained.)
7.) The flip side of that is some women have AMAZING SEX. That can mean they are easily sated, and this amazing sex allows them to go a while without getting themselves off, OR well, some women get lazy. Now gentlemen, I think it's safe to say that every single time you want to have sex it's not reasonable to assume that there will be a willing partner handy. A lot of women, for any number of reasons, aren't going to accept every proposition thrown there way. Of course men don't accept every proposition either but... they accept A LOT MORE. So, if a woman is lazy enough, or simply thus inclined, if she's horny she's not gonna masturbate. She's gonna go get laid. Because she's a woman. And we can.

Now, all that being said, I masturbate A fucking LOT, and I weep for all of the women who, for whatever reason, do not.

She grew up knowing little about sex and NOTHING about masturbation. And she didn't have her 1st orgasm until after we were married. Unfortunately she's never become interested in masturbation and has rarely done it on her own during our long marriage.

Don't forget that us guys have hydraulic pressure. If I don't get off within say every 3 days I get really irritable and uptight. I can't sleep properly and I actually feel like I have to pee more often. Once I romance the bone I am relaxed and at peace with my world.

I'll admit my wife leaves me somewhat befuddled since I've never caught her masturbating, she doesn't look at anything sensual online, and has a very low sex drive (IMO) There are times that we go a month without sex (and I shudder to remember the year my son was born and I was close to an entire year without sex) yet when we do, she has powerful, squirting orgasms.

My wife masturbates 1 or 2 times a week. She would do it more, but it is a mental thing for her. She doesn't like being rushed so mornings aren't good with work and kids school. At night she's exhausted.
