There are a number of women here but most that I know of keep a low profile because if they don't they're swamped with mail box flooding pm's from the guys here. Unfortunately, many of the messages are not so polite and it has driven a lot of women from the site. This is not speculation as I've had conversations with several women here that told me of their experiences, and some of those subsequently closed their accounts or simply stopped visiting the site. I agree that it would be nice to have a better balance of men and women here, but I think that's not likely to change.

Yep. We used to have a fairly active female membership. It wasn't anywhere near 50/50, but there were active women on the site and in the chat.

Many accessed chat through the interface of our previous chat host rather than the site, and weren't even members of the site. When we moved servers, the owner of the previous host kept a room naked "jackinchat," acted as if it were the same room under new management and would permaban anyone who'd post about how to get to our room. We lost most of the female chat participants that way.

As for the female members of the board, the previous posts are correct...many don't actively participate because of the increase in degrading discussion about women. (We've heard the same things from both male and female posters, but as we've started cracking down on such content, a portion of the membership has gotten huffy about it, claiming such complaints don't exist.) And, oddly, there are also a few who've taken exception to trying to make the site more inviting to women by enforcing the rules of the For Her section and cracking down on the degradation content, saying they find it sexist. Damned if we do, damned if we don't.

Here's the thing , do a search through some of the boards and read posts about women. All degrading terms ! I asked in an old post why it's necessary to call a female that wants sex a "slut" when we guys want sex too and we don't call each other such names?

My point here is this , I think some women cruise this site because the subject material appeals to them as well, but many are turned off by the crude and mean spirited approach to women here when they do show up.

I too wish more women were on here to discuss these issues and get their feelings on things. I doubt we'll see many because of the unjust and ungentlemanly way in which they're referred to and addressed. I doubt very many of these guys would talk to a woman in real life using the terms I see here, they do it here because their real names are hidden allowing them to defer to their darker side.
