As a kid I thought it was just a bunch of uneccesary extra skin since so many guys had it removed. But I definitely started to appreciate it when I went through puberty - sort of a "oh, that's what I can use it for" discovery.

I have to say it's great to have a foreskin to grab hold of and glide over the glans and that makes me pleased that I haven't been circumcised; consequently it's very rare that I use a lube.

It seems like over the past 50 to 60 yrs there was a big ordeal that all male gender had to be circumized for some the beliefs were religious and with others it was for medical health reasons. The parents were told it would keep their sons from getting diseases and keeping the penis easy to clean off. So many felt it was a Christian myth for a male to have his foreskin cut off before he turned 3 days old. And several that had it done as adults had much pain with the surgery removal. I guess none of us will real never know the real true.

My dad was cut but when he and my mom talked with the doctor about circumcision he told them there was no medical or hygiene reasons for it and they agreed it was wrong to do. I am the oldest of 6 followed by 2 more brothers then 3 sisters. My brothers were obviously left intact as well.
