It happens when I compose a post fully in the message box, too. One of the most annoying glitches on this site, and the admin won't even acknowledge it, let alone fix it.

This was helpful. I changed a Spanish n with the squiggly line over it and mine posted.

Jackinchat is pretty obviously based on an early 2000's web forum xtml package; digging in to debug the actual code would be a nightmare, and porting the content to a new platform would be a huge undertaking. I'm just grateful to Rod & Co. for keeping the old gal afloat, and to the few sponsors for paying the hosting bills (Thanks Fleshlight!).

The only time I get this is when/if I use Ann apostrophe or quotation marks. Eliminate them and I have had no problem.
