I suppose most of us wonder the same thing. How do we keep family from discovering whats on our computer. I have a ton of stuff stored on flash drives. They're relatively cheap and easy to hide. Also makes it easy to take along on a business trip...internet speeds in hotels are often too slow . I think I'm going to check out some of the encryption things too. Great thread.
I don't store a lot of porn but I do have a lot of pictures of me and my wife so I use an external drive that has a keypad and 256 bit encryption. A little pricey but I think worth it.

Truecrypt for me since I also have videos/pics of my wife and I that I don't want anyone to stumble upon. You create volumes that act like a drive when you mount them and you can create volumes as large or as small as you'd like. Since the volumes are basically large files that hold all the stuff, you can easy store them on usb drives or multiple computers.

Holy crap! How long would it take to view 27 TB of porn? How many loads of cum would that equate to?
I have some personal pics and vids of the wife and I as well as some full length classic porn movies that have been digitized. I just keep them on my storage array. No one in my house knows how to access it anyway.

Building an Unraid server is a great way to store it

I went for a home NAS set-up because I wanted access from my TV. Just conceal vids in a folder marked World War II Documentaries or something and there's little chance anyone who has the remote control is going to end up in there!
For pics, I use a WD USB drive with password protection and just plug it into my laptop as required.
Both are backed up into another USB drive of much higher capacity.
Somewhere in a box in the basement is my huge 90s porn stash - that spanned 2, yes TWO, whole CD-ROMs. What a crazy porn addict I was back then!

That's a good tip, I had one Seagate fail on me and a second is making noises. I will try Western Digital next.

I don't keep any. It's always readily available when I want it, so what's the point?

I save porn and similar. Actually, I rarely go back and view most of it, but when I'm wanking on e.g. Flickr I save the pics I like.
Not sure why exactly but it's very satisfying somehow.
I have about 6 TB of porn stored. I have 2 external hard drives. Thinking about getting another one. Easy to use and easy to hide.

TrueCrypt still works, but is defunct and no longer can be trusted. Use encrypted disks, encrypted partitions, or encrypted virtual disk images. For extra security, encrypt a virtual machine using VirtualBox to access everything (both online and offline) with.
I found an old 16 gb flash drive to get me started. What is the best way to secure that?

There are third-party apps, i.e. DiskCryptor or VeraCrypt, available for encrypting a USB flash drive that is connected to your Windows computer, but using the built-in Windows tool named BitLocker is preferable.
