Seems I'm invisible on yahoo. Anyone else have a problem with yahoo right now? Can't add contacts, send emails, use messenger......or anything....it's frozen up or something. Bizarre!

I anyone knows something about this....let me know.

If you are using the old YIM desktop application, it could be network related since they are officially turning off the application on August 5th.

They just launched a new desktop app for Win/Mac today however, it really blows. No voice or video.

Either way, the old dekstop app will be turned off. Where is everyone heading to for voice and video....SKYPE?

Gosh I moved to skype ages ago, which was a great thing since Yahoo messenger doesn't work on Linux, except as a text chat in the email section thingy.

try downloading 'trillian' and use your yahoo ID.
....it seems to work......not saying its perfect but better than those horrible web browser based messenger things

Hey guys I seen on the midday local news that Verizon had bought out Yahoo got bunches of $$$dollars. I think they might be looking into tons of changes. I know that Yahoo messenger had many changes for the most part. Now there are new owner ships of the vast joining together of these 2 companies are now one. These boards of stock holds are doing there best to end all of us fellows and even gals to have our so called times be closed up or we'll be paying out the butt for use of the Yahoo services.

What about the only feature that made it worthwhile, the photosharing?

The desktop version of Yahoo Messenger seems to be working OK here today.

I realise that Yahoo is a bit old-hat these days, but it still ticks all the right boxes for me when I'm perving on my PC ! Chat, cam, voice, photosharing. Pasted pic URLs even auto-preview in the chat window so no need to click on the links.
