Its always just a link that doesnt open or a bunch of words etc as opposed to the actual picture showing directly on the forum.

I recently got imgur and i am trying to add a picture from there directly onto forums but it doesnt work.

It is a multi step process, but this works for me:
1. Click on this icon:
2. You will see a pop up like this:
3. Clear out the highlighted text:
4. Go to Imgur and select the Direct Link and press Copy:
5. Paste it into the box and press OK
6. Press Submit and a thumbnail should display in your message, and it will link to your photo.

Nice instructions and helpful for those having problems.
I actually recorded a video of the process but it got lost in the JC vaults somewhere.

Agreed. The site is simple and dated, but, it does what it's supposed to do. Upgrading it would be excellent but I doubt it will ever happen. That said, I would be willing to make a one time payment to fund improvements, as I'm sure plenty of other fellow JC'ers would.

If anyone can tell me what i did wrong in my post above it'd be greatly appreciated - I copied the share link from an image i uploaded to imgur, using the little green photo icon in the message here but it hasn't worked. This site automatically added the [img] at the start and end of the url. I'd love to know how to do this so a thumbnail appears in a message!
