Got to give it to the spam bots, noticing they have started putting up male usernames to spread their spammy goodness.
Only took the people running them a few months to figure out we're mostly dudes who may like dudes in some way

I think in this particular case, "effing annoying pricks" is the right term

They are pretty easy to pick out. Always at the end of the user list and the names are quite distinctive to the spam twats. First thing I do when I log on is report them, whether I have received a spam mail or not. It gives a small degree of satisfaction.
Still doesn't stop my dick twitching when I see message in inbox only to have my hopes and wank chances dashed once I see hello
Yep it's just like weeding a garden a little price we have to pay for enjoying jackinchat, have to admire their persistence though and yet another one bites the dust
I am also fighting the battle. Report them every time. Its a war of attrition!

Yeh, same here. Every time I think I have a possible mic wank lined up its usually the spammers
Colossal Pervert- Think I'll treat myself to my third wank today
A bit more weeding today but worth it for the good messages I got

It would be nice if JIC would focus on stopping the spam and less time worrying about someone saying a naughty word in chat.

Or - now, stop me if this sounds crazy - do both?
As I've said more than once (and should probably just make a copy/paste for), we're painfully aware of the extended spam attack that the site has seen over the past year. 1-3 times a week, I go through the reports, ban the spam accounts, and send a list of the accounts to the site owner. This allows him to look under the proverbial hood for commonalities that can allow him to try preventing their access to the site. Sometimes, the measures put in place stop them, only for them to find new ways around it. He's looked into external security measures, but has run into roadblocks there because, being an adult-oriented site, the site's content violates those services' terms of use. Last I heard, with the site's custom code, without potentially braking the code entirely, the remaining options would block general access so broadly as to be undesirable.
Meanwhile, the chat still has our own terms of conduct that we all agree to abide by, and IRC bot tools make it simple to automate looking for words that are violations of those terms.
It's not a binary circumstance.
