Do I need an email to register?
Yes you will need an email address to create a discord account. If you are worried about having to give one, you gave one for this website if you signed up, create one on hotmail or gmail simply for discord. Discord is however not an adult only platform.

Will I have to give my phone number?
No, you will not have to give a phone number to access our server. You would only need to give a phone number if you want to do the 2 factor verification which you would only need to do if you are wanting to becoming a mod, or if required by Discord itself following a Discord ban or other disciplinary action (such Discord requirements are beyond our control).

Is Jackinchat.com shutting down?
No, the only thing moving is the chat rooms to discord. The website will still be functioning as it currently is.
On June 27th Pornjackin will fully move to the discord chat and be made read only. A month after that in July the main #jackinchat room will fully move to the discord server.

Can I delete the direct messages?
Yes you can, but you have to do each line manually that you want to delete.

What kind of profile photos can I use on discord?
Any photo that you use for your profile on the discord server needs to be Safe For Work. Discord will ban your account if you have any dirty or NSFW as your profile.

Does Discord watch my private chats?

Your private messages are not end-to-end encrypted, and data breaches are a possibility on any online platform (Discord has a bounty out on vulnerabilities). Furthermore, Discord's trust and safety team does have the ability to read private messages and messages sent in private servers when investigating user reports.

Every chat message has a unique ID which users can report. If someone reports, say, a threatening DM, a member of the trust and safety team may view the reported message and decide what action to take. When a pattern of behavior is reported, they may view more than a single message. All access to message logs is itself logged, so abuse of the system would be discoverable. The ability to view messages is solely with the trust and safety team, and all of Discord's trust and safety team members are employees. None of the work is outsourced.

Discord also notes on its support page that deleted messages are truly deleted. They can't view them once they're gone, which on one hand allows abusers to remove evidence, but on the other gives normal users the ability to erase benign chat messages that they simply don't want sitting on a server.

Accessing Discord on an iOS device.
If you use an iOS device, please follow these instructions to regain access to our server:

- Open Discord using the desktop app or web version. (The option listed below is not visible from the iOS app.)
- Click the User Settings icon
- Click the Privacy & Safety category
- Enable the "Allow Access to NSFW Servers on iOS" option

Once done, you should be able to join in the fun again.

You may need to remove the app and reinstall it.

cannot get in ,says the same unable to invite?

Also unable to join. According to the article linked here, this may have occurred for a number of reasons;

1. Link Expired after set time
2. Join limit reached (number of joining members clicking link)
3. Prospective member banned from server
4. Invalid code
5. Link revoked by admin
6. Joining from id other than the one the invite was intended

It says there are 16,566 members in this Discord server, so my guess would be reason 2 (Join limit reached) but I could be mistaken-- curious if anyone has figured this out!

Thanks dcharlie06az-- I think the trouble is on my end! Will continue troubleshooting!

Was just on and somehow got bumped off and said the invitation was invalid and needed to use my phone number to verify. Would prefer not to give that out over the internet.

Per my experience, the two invites generate different refusal messages on Discord, with http:// https://discord.gg/692pSFYj indicating 'invalid or expired' and http:// https//discord.gg/MzXDemUaxN indicating 'unable to join' I had corresponded with Discord and they indicated there was no age restriction on my account so that is apparently not the deciding factor either. Still troubleshooting!

We will never see your phone number. Discord will use it to text an authentication code, just like any other number of online services do.

Finally succeeded in joining JC on discord-- just had to register for a new login, and was able to provide correct age information at registration. Hoping this helps others!

Discord is a very good experience with our group. Looking forward for more content like long videos to watch.
