Agreed. The chat rules here are inconsistent at best. Seems to happen the most with Ben and THX. Ben doesn't seem to like the wife/gf pic sharing posts and kicks them immediately which, while I personally don't have an argument against it (they do come off as pretty creepy), it's not a topic that's explicitly against the rules and he's clearly just banning something he personally doesn't like. Not to mention that those posts at times often make up the vast majority of chatter in the main room. Then, you have THX, who often times just seems to kick/ban people at random when they post anything he apparently doesn't approve of, sexual or not. Both always give the "Your behavior is not conductive.." reason, which is extremely vague and in my opinion a cop-out excuse since there was no actual rule being violated. I guess "I don't like what you posted.", wouldn't look very good. There's also another mod, MFM Fantasy, or something like that, that logs on, kicks with a simple "bye", and logs off.

On top of that, you have people who come in regularly to troll or cause trouble that nothing ever happens to. For example, a few nights ago there was a guy by the name of McFarl or something similar repeatedly posting in an obnoxious color scheme, calling everyone f**gots and generally being a nuisance trying to antagonize people. Luckily no one engaged him, but the minute Ben showed up he went silent but stuck around until Ben left. He's not the only one either, I've seen this type of thing happen quite a few times.

And lets not forget about the weirdos who come on and ask to talk about young actresses or actresses that play young/underage characters; or the really bold, really creepy ones that ask for chat about "young gymnasts" or "little leotards". There's at least one person (in fact, I'm pretty positive it's always the same guy) that fairly regularly comes in and gets pretty blatant about what he's asking for yet nothing ever happens. Which is surprising considering that at least a couple mods often clearly lurk in the room, as they're sometimes quick to suddenly pop in and kick someone for not being "conductive" before quickly disappearing again (I know I've seen THX do this quite a bit).

Bottom line is, while moving to discord is actually a good idea in itself, you're going to have to come up with a thorough, clear set of rules and make sure they're enforced consistently without mods going rogue, so to speak. Moving to discord opens up exposure to many other well-moderated and heavily populated masturbation communities that people will quickly move to if they start to feel like the server is poorly moderated or that they could be banned at any time for any reason despite not breaking any known rules.

I'd just be happy to know who all these random mods are that show up and idle for hours without a word and/or pop in, ban someone, and leave. It would be nice to know who the mod staff is, but I guess transparency doesn't exist on this site (not that it ever has).

Coffeenporn comes from xxxchatters (where you can literally be banned for not responding to an unwanted, unnecessary and un-asked-for pm from a mod) and used to do a ridiculous amount of tone-policing and backseat moderating there, warranted or not; when he wasn't sucking up to their mods, that is. From the moment he showed up on JC he started doing the exact same thing, especially when Rod was around, so it's no wonder they made him a mod, unfortunately.

Any idea when we might see some form of moderation in there? Recently I've been seeing some of the same old.. "unsavory" types that were there before start to pop up, as well as some new ones that know there is currently no moderation. Even as I type this theres someone in the pic trading room posting incest toons. I, and I'm sure many others, would hate to see something happen to the rooms again because of these people.

Also, someone mentioned the whole #penang pm spam that is still going on. Not sure about that one though as I don't believe that has anything to do with the room specifically, since the names are never in the rooms; it's probably a server thing. We can /ignore them, but it's only temporary since they often switch names to keep it going. I have found that for now if you do a /whois and /ignore the actual address, it will prevent additional spam when they change names. It's still only temporary, though; eventually they use a different address.
