Does anyone recommend whatsapp for secure chat.
Nothing is secure. It's a documented fact that Americas's alphabet agencies are able to (and do) monitor "secure" communications.
If they are doing it, you can bet their friends (GCHQ etc.) are also doing it.

Admittedly, you'd most likely have to do something to get their attention in the first place, but it remains true that nothing is secure, just less "leaky".

no, just wickr ME is being cut. W Pro is fine. Yes, it's now an AWS owned app, but as much as can be believed it has some of the best E2E encryption and an open access mode which uses a 3-server hop emulating a VPN. Until otherwise proven, it's as good as anything. Just create email accounts to register new W Pro accounts.

I had two successive discord accounts suspended for no stated reason. just sign on one day and "your account is suspended". Bad luck? who knows. But fuck that, not worth the frustration.
Discord suspensions are nothing to do with us (server admins) it is usually due to use of certain VPNs in combination with not using 2fa.
It's all about security and bot scrubbing.

didn't mean to imply that it was any fault of the admins here-- simply that I don't need the aggravation of the platform doing that.

I have had 2 Discord accounts, one for JC and one for everything else (gaming, family, etc.). Neither ever used a VPN. Neither ever used 2fa.
The JC one lasted about 2 weeks while my other account has been going strong for years.
