Just wondering if any of you guys or girls have ever been going through your son or daughter's room and found a box of condoms or signs they were sexually active? If so, what did you do or say to the son or daughter?
My daughter is only 6, but we plan on not making a big deal out of it. She's gonna have sex, we can't stop her, but we can educate her and get her some birth control.

I've been there both as a son and as a parent. I'd say first, you can figure it's likely they are sexually active but don't "automatically assume" anything that huge in your kid's life.
I had some condoms and wasn't sexually active. I was super curious, practiced putting them on, masturbated in them, filled them with water and so on. And tried hard to hide them. My mother assumed the worst and gave me a really humiliating time about it. She didn't "ask" me anything, just lectured me like about abstinence. We didn't have a great relationship, and that lowered it further.
After I had been a parent for 12 or so years, the same scenario and with my wife's help (talking to daughter) we made it much less stressful, didn't assume or blame, gave information (didn't wait for them to ask -- they wouldn't have) and above all said it's good to know how to obtain condoms and what they are for and how to use them.
It's a whole lot better than having an embarrassing talk with your kid that they or their GF are pregnant because someone didn't use a condom...
Hope this helps.
