If you shave every day, it doesn't get itchy. Also you can use a hair remover such as Nair on everything other than your scrotum if you want to avoid shaving the upper works. Hair remover on the scrotum isn't a good idea because it burns. After using, Nair it takes about a month to need another application.

I love it smooth or well trimmed, so much sexier. If you shave regular you skin will get used to it. Just apply some good cream in the area, I would not recommend waxing there.
