Howdy All,
I just wanted to throw something at you. Do any of you (especially mature, distinguished, married buds) still frequent bookstores, private booths, theaters, etc? I recently visited one and found it was somewhat still a bit active. I used to visit more frequently about 15-20 years ago, but one of my favorites closed down (looooong before COVID). So I kinda let them be. Well Ive been reading on different websites that people still like to enjoy themselves in such venues. I personally they can be a potentially great place for mutual relaxation and a simple no strings way of getting our tanks off, few and far between they might be. Any thoughts from you other past or current denizens of such places ??

Are you man enough to ride this ride ?
In my area, we have 3 Porn Shops-Video Shops still available. They are frequented quite often, especially the one I attend. Being so close to military installations and universities/colleges, the one I attend is VERY BUSY, especially the video rooms or smaller theater. They also have very good sales on sex toys or magazines and DVD Porn videos. The best magazines I buy come from this store, with sexual content. I seriously doubt, that this store will ever close. I feel, it depends on the locations of stores, if they survive or not. I have discovered some of my best buddies from the porn shop, especially people related to the university, since my son works there and attends this porn shop often.
We have one in Lansing, Mi. Tabu, it has a store with vids and mags but for a feen(membership)you can go in the back and anything goes. It has vids playing, swings etc, and a gloryhole wall, booths with holes. Can be a great time.
I used to years ago, but havent for years. My city outlawed them in the 1990s.

Is that Indianapolis? I use to stop at one right off of 465, buy some mags to jo off to. They had booths but no doors, took the fun out of it.
Years ago when I was 18 I used to go to one in London. I used to go to a booth and strip totally and sit there with the door open watching porn and openly masturbating. So many men watched me and a good few would come in and kneel in front of me and suck me to completion.
I could come several times in a row in those days!

The anonymity of the internet....
Like so many small locally owned businesses they are losing customers to mail order for toys and there is so much free porn on the Internet who needs to buy DVD's anymore?
I always thought the booths were their main income, but talking to someone who owned one he told me the bulk of the money came from couples looking for some toys to "spice things up"

I wish there were one close to me...
Plenty here in Tampa.

Same area here. Never been to a porn shop before and really wanted to try one. I 'think' there is one in Lafayette.

My impression too. The nicer ones I've seen are almost more like boutiques that happen to also carry dvds.
The ones that are not so nice, well...a hepatitis vaccine is a good idea before you touch anything or anyone in there.

I think the vhs was the start of the decline, then the www, and now smart phones !.
Almost all of the ones in Iowa are stilling going. Over last 20 years a couple went out of business. One due to an urban renewal project, another due to a murder of the owner, another couple closing arcade but stores still in business. There has been some consolidation, with some chains taking over most, Romantix & Lover's Playground the two biggest. Business is maybe a little slower, and the pandemic hurt too. Last couple years with covid, many reduced hours, and have had difficulty hiring. They are a lot of fun, and hopefully they continue.
