One of the joys of discovering the internet and online communities is the realization that there is such a thing as having a 'jerk buddy.' I think in the offline 'real world' there is a heavy pressure to categorize desires and orientations as straight, bisexual, or gay; but Jerk buddy is in itself a kind of unique territory as it compiles the best aspects of platonic male friendship (intimacy, support networks, a friend to talk to and confide in) with the sexual aspects of a relationship (Mutual masturbation) However, someone like me is in a unique situation as i do not find men conventionally sexually attractive. I don't see a guy and think "I want to jerk with him/suck him." Instead, those types of desires grow from a unique type of intimacy with a jerk buddy. In stroking together to porn, women, or celebrities, we bond and share a mutual desire and pleasure, and the desire to stroke or suck a buddy doesn't necessarily come from a desire for him as much as our connection and desire to help a friend.

Maybe I am thinking too much about this, but I feel that a jerk buddy relationship is different from the typical bi/straight/gay relationships we normally have with other people. I imagine a friend who could come over and we take the time and privacy to relax on the sofa with a laptop between ourselves sharing porn and masturbating side by side as we shoot our loads; then we grab a drink as if nothing happened and maintain the outward display of a regular friendship.

A while back I realized I was demisexual when it comes to women - I don't really want casual sex and it's generally been a bad idea when I've done it. It took me a little while longer to realize that I'm demisexual no matter what gender is in question.

I don't go so far as the wikipedia definition, I can definitely be highly attracted to women before being friends with them, but it would still be not a great idea to pursue sex without being to some degree friendly. Interestingly, though, if an extremely attractive woman reveals her personality to be terrible, the physical attraction rapidly crumbles into dust and disappears. I don't do grudgefucks.
