How about just plain old sexual? I guess by definition he would be a gay leaning bi.

Depends on how you define gay ! There is no offical definition grin However a truely gay guy woud not want to have sex with a woman . Therefore I would define your guy as Bi!

The part about no guy being available is tricky.
If you're bi I think you should sometimes prefer one over the other and sometimes the other way around - though it doesn't have to be 50/50.

If someone always prefers any man to any woman, I think that makes them gay.

I've been with guys who would go for whatever naked body was next to them in bed. And a guy who said he hated the sight of a pussy, and the "bags of fat" on a woman's chest. Bi to gay I guess, but there's probably an area between those extremes. I've been with lots of guys who called themselves gay. But most of them had fucked women when the opportunity arose.

In the broad spectrum of sexuality, that would still be considered bisexual but somewhere between purely bisexual in the middle (prefers both sexes equally) and gay (prefers only males).

being bi means what it implies. willing and wanting to do either. one preferance or another only means which feels better at the time. preferring to lay with a man and kindle a great friendship has no effect.

Had a close friend (not sexually) who came out as gay in college. And he always seemed to attract the nicest looking girls. As he told me when I asked, he said he never had any interest in having sex with women. Absolutely no interest at all... not even curious what it was like.

Agreed! The line between bi and gay is very thin.

..ANY sexual inclination or interest in the same sex while being sexually intersted in the opposite sex constitues for being bi.

Total interest in the same sex is gay.

I find any definition of straight, gay or bi based on who you would fuck when you're horny utterly useless. Human beings are sexual creatures, and when they're open minded and horny enough everything goes. It's mostly deeply ingrained cultural taboos which stop many people from fooling around with same sex partners.

For me it's about who you could be involved with romantically, instead of sexually. If you could only fall in love with someone the same sex as you I would call that gay, only someone the opposite sex straight, and any combination of the two bi.

Even though I'm very interested in hard cocks, and have jerked them and even sucked them, and have been sucked by men many times, I still call myself straight, because I have no romantic interest in men. I can't imagine (and after 37 years I think I can be pretty sure) myself falling in love with a man, and I never see one and think: "wow, he's really pretty, I'd like to make sweet love to him and spend the rest of our lives together", but in the right circumstances I might still go pretty far with him...

Check out the Klein Scale of sexual orientation:

Klein scale at Wikipedia

It gives a more nuanced way of thinking about the range of sexual options. I've found it to be enlightening. :-)
