I've always thought of a 'masturbatorium' as a place in the community where it's just understood that you could go to masturbate -- exactly because it's hard to get away from wife, parents, kids, or family.
Everyone knows you masturbate (because you're male) but nobody socially wants to see it (or to be seen seeing it), because that's just awkward.
Anyone who does want to see it, for self-education or stimuli etc. could be there and watch respectfully. It would probably have to be 18+, but doesn't have to be male-only for example. Maybe different rooms would be needed.
It would have to be a rule that you watch or participate respectfully, stimuli could be available but the main thing is to have the place.

I would use a masturbatorium a lot. I'd need a soft leather couch and comfortable leather chair for when I'm naked and jacking. Leather surfaces for cleaning up cum shots.
