There was a short lived Page 7 which did cater for the ladies. Nothing was said about that when it was about. Plus why is deemed okay for a woman to breast feed in public, yet not to bare her breasts in a national newspaper?
I think the women that were campaigning against the page 3 in the sun were jealous that men were giving more attention to the tits in the paper than them. At the end of the day the women that appear on page 3 are doing it by choice, no one is forcing them to do it. Apperently they love doing it as well, so what is the problem.

Yeah you're right it did celebrate the female form. There was nothing sordid or pornographic in the way it was done. They had a smile on their face as well doing it. Another thing that brightened our days has gone.
And great point about the celebs weight thing too. The shite I see in those women mags about this celeb or that celeb is over/under weight and it's ''shocking'' as well. All sensationalist headlines. It does nothing for women.
Okay if you have a daughter, would you be more worried if they had a Page 3 Girl as a role model, who's famous for getting her breasts out. Or Kim Kardashian/ Paris Hilton, who are famous due to sex tapes and do fuck all else?

Me too, I agree entirely. Page 3 was no more than harmless fun, nothing remotely "offensive", violent or pornographic, and, as you say a celebration of the female form. And no-one is obliged to buy the paper if they don't like it.
It's the same sort of people complaining who would never allow the Benny Hill Show to appear on UK tv nowdays...yet Benny never did anything offensive, no bad language, the girls were gorgeous and obviously enjoying themselves, and it was the male characters who always finished up looking silly. Yet it's fine to show violence against women on TV?
