Reason I ask, have had a few of late and from people who seem to want to message me on some subject matter that I haven't participated in. I never open the messages unless it is from someone who has taken part in one of the discussions I've posted in, or if the title relates to something I may have written about recently.
Assume mainly spam? If spam, are these being done globally, and if so are they being dealt with?

Always open them - it is after all a forum to communicate with like minded adults. Your choice then to decide if spam or not.
I've only had a couple of messages as i only joined 2 days ago, but yes i will always open them and always respond, even if it's s subject i'm not in to, just common courtesy really.
Presume you mean PMs on this board (Jackinmail). If so, there's no harm in opening them, just delete without responding if its not to your taste.

This site seems to do a pretty good of filtering out bots and spam. I open my PM's (and hope that people I send PM's to do too).

I have received several PMs since joining here and I can't relate to some of them, so I just delete. If it gets my curiosity I'll reply back to get clarity. Since it's internal email within JC I don't worry about it.

lotsa times i start the PM... so if you think i'm spamming you; don't open them. just like an email.

Some I open but most I delete as they deal with gay stuff which is a big turn off

I always open them. They have mostly been on or close to a topic I posted on in the forums or on chat. You never know what you may be missing if you just delete off hand. You can always delete without responding if it isn't of interest to you.
