I know it's not everyones thing, but it's an idea that interests me, but the problem is that i can't figure out how to bring it up.

Hey, I'm new here, first post. However, in this case, if you and your friend are open about these things, I'd honestly just ask.

However if your friend isn't open about things of a sexual nature, I'd bring it up, but as a fictional situation "that you heard"; and ask his opinion. Seems shady, but you can gauge your friends response this way.

I had a jo bud in high school who had been a friend since grade school. We discovered masturbation (individually) at about the same time and shared the information freely. We often compared our hardons, and our first mutual jo just seemed to happen naturally.

I think about this often also. I for some reason think that many guys do. I think that it would almost be easier to do with a stranger or even a group. For some reason doing it in a group would seem easier because you don't have to break the ice with an individual.

Alcohol always seems to help get people in moods for experimenting.

Every time I've tried to bring the subject up with people who are usually open minded about sex in general, they seem to have drawn the line at jacking off with other people. I have no idea why.

I've found that most guys are interested in at least trying it once anyway. I'm the kind of person that would just come out and ask someone if they were interested. If they're not, then it's their problem if they want to treat you different for just asking.

StrokerAce's suggestion about porn and alcohol seems to be a good one. Most guys are open to both....porn gets you aroused and alcohol certainly lowers inhibitions.
