I'm sure there must have been a thread like this before now. I've noticed patterns in how guys chat online that are strange, irritating, or just funny.

...guys who say hello, and then say nothing when you say hi back to them.

...guys who show photo(s) of someone they know and start asking a never ending series of questions about what you think of the woman. Usually includes, "what would you do to her".

...guys who pounce when you enter the channel...smacks of desperation.

...guys who say hi and, if you don't respond, give you the passive aggressive, "sorry, i guess i am disturbing you". I usually say I can't chat, if I can't chat, but not always.

...guys who change their nicks so you won't know it's them again when they PM you.

...anyone whose first question is ALWAYS, "are you stroking with lube?"

I'm sure I am just as quirky to others, I just don't see it, since it's me and of course I'm not odd, I'm just...me.

Yes the ASL? crap is the thing that bugs me the most. To my way of thinking it is far more important if the person who wants to chat is interested in similar things and above all has an active imagination.
