I find there are ups and downs wherever you go. Finding the right person is better, in my opinion, than an army of poor chat partners. Haven't found much success on Discord either, as most of the people seem very self-interested and don't provide much chat. More people looking desperately for "a feed" than who have anything to offer. But at least here you can find good chat partners and then meet up at your platform of choice. It's really what you bring to it that matters, I think.
