Chat step, from a few years ago....has anyone here had or knows of anyone who had a knock at the door from something they posted in one of the chat rooms that some members used to use here for sharing photos and jacking off together? I had an interesting conversation with someone over the weekend and something similar was mentioned about chatstep.

Would be interesting to know what others say.

It's a roundabout way to ask the question, but I'm guessing he's asking if anyone has had a knock on the door from law enforcement after making a Chatstep post.

Anyone worried about a knock on the door because of a Chatstep post probably has a good reason to be worried.

I don't know if it's even a thing anymore, but it used to be a chat server where you could create rooms for chatting and posting photos. It had a nice interface for public chatting, but it came to be abused. I wouldn't be surprised if it was shut down entirely.

It was a pretty simple web-based chat where anyone could create or join a room. No sign up needed, and you could post pics in the room by drag and drop.

The site itself wasn't an adult site, but as you might imagine a lot of the rooms were adult in nature. And given you didn't need to sign up and it was fairly anonymous, it had a pretty big pedo problem. Of course, they could still get tracked down which lead to a bunch of them getting busted.

The site eventually went down, came back again for a short while where it was pretty similar except you now needed to sign up for it to post pics, then went down for good. This was several years ago now.

So just a general question? No reason behind it at all?
